I like the idea of solar energy. What I HATE is the price. This stuff is just out of reach considering that the damn power system costs as much as the laptop. those who can afford to drop a k on something like this only really need to do so out of concern for the environment. Those who can't afford it need it because they actually need it.

The price of green things has got to come down. Thats what mass production is supposed to do, bring the prices down.....this is not happening with alternative energy solutions because of all the hype surrounding them. Like many other things, the producers of these types of technologies should be putting this stuff out at a 1% profit margin because its the right thing to do. Sometimes money is not the most important thing to think about. Even at a 1% profit margin they would be doing better than 90% of the consumers of today...hell were loosing money, not profiting.
